Holiday Spiced Cranberry Sauce

Chill Time: 4 Hours
Ingredients:
1 cup water
11/4 cup sugar
1 12- ounce Package fresh cranberries rinsed and drained
1 tablespoon grated cinnamon
1/4 tsp anise flavoring
1/2 cup cranberry apple juice
Instructions:
Combine water and sugar in a medium saucepan. Bring to boil; add cranberries, return to boil.
Reduce heat and boil gently for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Stir in grated cinnamon and cranberry apple juice.
Cover and cool completely at room temperature.
Spoon sauce into serving dish and chill for 4-6 hours. Garnish with a slice of orange, anise flower (optional) and apple slices.
